Blackhawk Construction, LLC recently completed this HUD financed phased remodel of a senior living apartment community. The scope consisted of complete renovation to 64 apartments and the leasing office within a 4-story building.

Each phase was completed in stacks. As each stack was completed, the residents were moved over, and construction commenced on the next stack. Blackhawk Construction completed all work while the facility remained occupied. Extensive coordination and notification efforts were required throughout the duration of the project.

The project included interior demolition, metal stud framing, millwork, insulation, interior doors, exterior sliding glass doors, drywall, flooring, new appliances, replace drain, waste, and domestic plumbing, and electrical reconfiguration and fixtures.

Additional scope included painting the exterior of the building and the parking structures, replacing the RTUs and the boiler, installation of a new soft water system, installing bird netting, parking lot and asphalt improvements, and renovating the elevators.
